Ocean Connectors: Twitter Campaign

January 2016 to May 2016

I helped research 50 potential social media influencers as part of the social media team for Ocean Connectors through Ad 2 San Diego. I helped manage Ocean Connectors’ Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts. Ocean Connector’s Twitter account went from 20 or fewer engagements per month to over 100 engagements per month and monthly post reach doubled over the course of the campaign. Followers increased 33% over 4 four months with no paid promotion. The first tweet below was one of the highest engaging tweets of the campaign with 2,292 impressions and 39 engagements.

Canva Factoids

I created factoids that were used all across Ocean Connectors social media sites. The factoids were created using Canva and the stock image was pulled primarily from Pixabay.

Ad 2 San Diego Emails

June 2017 to December 2019

As Communications Co-Chair for Ad 2 San Diego my main responsibility was to sent weekly emails to Ad 2’s 750+ subscriber list. I wrote the copy for over 70 emails , which were distributed through MailChimp. The open rate of emails was 19 percent, steady from the previous year.

Helped plan a social media strategy to promote Tour de Cure, one of the American Diabetes Association’s premiere events. Helped write copy to promote the event across social media.

San Diego State University Ad Club Emails

January 2015 to May 2015

As V.P. of Communications for the SDSU Ad Club it was my responsibility to keep the Ad Club’s subscriber list of 400+ updated on all of the club’s activities. I wrote the copy for nearly 35 emails, which were distributed through MailChimp. The open rate of emails during my time as V.P. of Communications averaged around 16 percent.

The email below was one of the most opened emails of the semester at 19.8 percent. The email was about an upcoming meeting featuring a Photoshop workshop led by Pablo Gandara.
